SUPRAOLIVO addresses the challenges of sustainable, territory-adapted olive cultivation in a webinar
The SUPRAOLIVO Operational Group will hold an introductory webinar on 17 September to present the project and the work it will carry out to advance sustainable olive cultivation adapted to the conditions of Galicia, Castilla y León and Andalusia.

On 17 September at 11:15, the SUPRAOLIVO Operational Group introductory webinar will take place, an online meeting at which participants can learn about the project, its objectives and the main lines of work to be developed over the coming years.
SUPRAOLIVO —Innovation for the sustainable and adapted development of olive cultivation in Galicia, Castilla y León and Andalusia— was created to generate knowledge and solutions that contribute to the development of the olive-growing sector in the three territories.
Three territories, one shared project
SUPRAOLIVO’s work will focus on the agronomic adaptation of native olive varieties, the physicochemical and sensory characterisation of oils and assessment of the sustainability and profitability of cultivation in Galicia, Castilla y León and Andalusia.
To this end, the project brings together different stakeholders linked to the value chain and knowledge: producers, cooperatives, businesses and research centres that will work in a coordinated way to advance understanding of olive cultivation and its adaptation to the particularities of each territory.
During the webinar, the Operational Group will be presented and the challenges addressed by SUPRAOLIVO and the planned actions for achieving its objectives will be explained.
The session will thus serve as a first introduction to the project and the lines of work that will shape its development, as well as providing an opportunity to introduce SUPRAOLIVO to professionals and organisations interested in innovation and the future of olive cultivation.
